I did a side-by-side with the Mad Hunky salmon brine against the method I’ve been using forever for smoked salmon. While they were both great in their own way, I think the MH salmon was preferred by my ‘test panel’ (my wife and I.) The MH had a nice texture that was moist and flakey. The flavor was outstanding and didn’t attempt to cover the fish flavor, like some things do, but complimented it very nicely with herb and spice notes. Another outstanding product from the Mad Hunky and I will be back for more.

My hunting buddy goes to Alaska every year on a fishing trip and he hooked me up with some salmon filets. I had not smoked salmon in the past so I had to try MH Fish Brine. I am very glad I did as it is outstanding! I brined and smoked 6 fillets with alder pellets and left them sit in the fridge for a day before vacuum bagging. They are amazing. We brought out a package for a snack on the elk hunt this year and it was like it just came out of the smoker. I am hooked on this stuff.
